Achieving Success with Retakes
At SIC, we support students with getting back on track after unexpected or disappointing A-level or GCSE results. Our retake students typically improve their grades by one to two levels, with nearly two-thirds securing places at Russell Group universities.

A-Level Courses at SIC
SIC offers one of the most extensive A-Level provisions in the UK, catering to ambitious students through multiple pathways:

Two-Year A-Level Course
Our two-year A-Level course is delivered in small groups of no more than ten students, ensuring an individualised learning experience. We offer a broad range of subjects, including Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, History, Economics, and Sociology, which can be combined to align with students’ future aspirations.
Each student receives personalised support from a dedicated Personal Tutor throughout their academic journey, with tailored guidance to prepare them for applications to top UK universities, including Oxbridge, Russell Group institutions, and medical schools.
18-Month A-Level Course
Our 18-month A-Level course is designed for students who need to secure higher grades for university entry, or those who wish to complete their A-Levels in a shorter timeframe after an unsatisfactory first year elsewhere. This structured, exam-focused course provides small class sizes and personalised support, ensuring that each student receives the attention they need to succeed and achieve their academic goals.
One-Year A-Level Course
SIC also provides an accelerated one-year A-Level course, delivered in very small groups of three to five students. This intensive course is designed for students who require a focused and efficient learning approach to complete their A-Levels within a shorter timeframe.
GCSE & IGCSE Retakes
SIC offers a one-year GCSE and IGCSE retake programme, designed for students who wish to improve their grades. Courses are taught in small groups of 6–10 students, ensuring individualised attention and strong pastoral support to help students achieve their academic potential.
Christmas & Easter Revision Courses
SIC’s Christmas and Easter Revision Courses provide an excellent opportunity for students to consolidate their knowledge, address learning gaps, and strengthen exam techniques ahead of their assessments.
